WHAT IS THIS
This is original royalty free music for games or films.
The music is designed to be atmospheric in nature, and not be the lead actor.
It should go under the sound effects and under the environment atmospheric sounds you would use.
Speaking of which, all the soundtracks are designed completely without environmental sfx, and this is intentionally to not be a distraction in game play, or misleading the player with faux sfx hidden in the soundtrack.

TECHNICAL
Basically all tracks are released free, into the wild as a 64kbps mp3.

All tracks are leveled to -1db, which means.. by default they are likely very loud compared to other effects, which is why I strongly recommend sending them through a separate bus (channel) and pull the volume way down.

All tracks should be a perfect loop, if they are not .. send me a message 🙂

BACKGROUND
For the past 7 years, my two big passions, outside of work, has been to create music and develop games.

During this time I’ve come to realize just how much a passive soundtrack adds to the atmosphere and feel of a game.
As a developer or level designer, you often find yourself wanting to catch a specific feeling in a level, and just need a soundtrack that doesn’t draw the attention of the player. It’s just supposed to be there in the background adding to the mood already supplied by the visuals.

I’ve personally, found it difficult to find such types of soundtracks in the past and have spent a lot of time customizing the audiovisual atmosphere.

PURPOSE
It’s time to give back to all the awesome indie games communities, which have helped me in the past. Which is why I’ve decided to release a new, original, atmospheric soundtrack every month. All under a CC-0 licence, which means, you are free to use any or all soundtracks for your games, commercial or otherwise.
